Will Cooper
Data Analytics & Computer Programming
Will’s work at the Smart Surfaces Coalition includes coding computer vision algorithms to automate the process of collecting data from cities around the world to better understand the potential of smart surfaces to slow climate change and increase urban resilience in these cities. He helps manage the Coalition’s analytical engine, an online tool which calculates future costs and benefits of switching to smart surfaces.
Will Cooper is a student at Harvard university studying applied mathematics and computer science. From Cambridge, MA, he went to the local public high school where he found an interest in the applications of programming and how computers can make positive impacts in everyday life. Recently, through coursework on energy as well as climate symposia and hackathons at MIT, Will has developed a passion for the environment and how technology can help solve our climate problem.
