Tamara Mehta
Health Research Scholar
Tamara is a recent graduate from Yale University where she completed a Master’s Program in Public Health, specializing in chronic disease epidemiology. She has global public health experience in program management and labor welfare, and has worked with community stakeholders in India on health promotion projects. She is passionate about health disparities and outcomes research which drives her interest to explore the effects of environmental determinants on the health outcomes of vulnerable populations.
At Smart Surfaces Coalition, Tamara will be exploring the health benefits of Smart Surfaces implementation along with reviewing heat impacts on the health of outdoor workers. She looks forward to applying epidemiological methods to the environmental health research projects she will be working on, while learning new analytical tools and research techniques from the Smart Surfaces Coalition team and their partners.
