Priyanka Kalidindi
policy research intern
Priyanka is a senior at the University of California Berkeley, where she is majoring in conservation and resource studies and society and environment. She is passionate about environmental policy and community development, and aims to specialize in these interests in her graduate studies. Priyanka aspires to focus on climate adaptation and environmental infrastructure projects to combat the urban effects of climate change, particularly examining various ways to create and implement policies that can bring about these changes on a broader scale.
Before joining the Smart Surfaces Coalition, Priyanka gained valuable experience as a research assistant in multiple climate mitigation and adaptation labs including the Energy and Environmental Policy and Environmental Problems and Solutions labs at Berkeley. She also has extensive experience writing and covering various environmental disasters, remediation efforts, and current conservation projects.
Now, as a policy research intern at the SSC, she is supporting the Cities for Smart Surfaces program through work exploring policies as they relate to implementation of cool roofs, pavements, and various other Smart Surfaces!
