Olivia Peay
Media & communications intern
Olivia Peay is an impact-driven storyteller, photographer, and creative strategist from Los Angeles, California. She received her B.A. in Journalism from California State University of Long Beach, with a focus on organizational management and visual identity to provide infrastructure and nurture trust with audiences. For SSC, she is excited to design visual narratives and translate complex data into innovative stories centered on Smart Surfaces and community-focused programming.
Outside of SSC, Olivia is on the Steering Committee for LA Climate Week, an annual climate celebration in Los Angeles honoring community-first programs and nature-based solutions, and collaborates with nonprofit organizations to interview storytellers, musicians, and grassroot leaders. Olivia is a photographer of eight years, capturing photographs of diplomats, musicians, authors, wild grizzly bears, and global media icons. She is currently participating in an environmental policy and media fellowship for Elected Officials to Protect America, collaborating with current elected officials working within clean energy. Olivia is also the youngest member in their Public Leadership Certificate 2026 cohort, alongside senior military commanders, senators, community advocates, and international consultants.
Her approach to leadership mirrors the wonderful web of life: all encompassing, knowing everyone has a role to play and voice to be heard.
