Megha manages SSC’s India work. For the last 3 years, she worked as a collaborative link between SSC and The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) to implement and expand Smart Surfaces work in Indian cities, including the MacArthur funded project in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, India. 

Before moving to the US, Megha worked for 6 years at TERI, India in a range of both research and management roles and led a team of ten professionals working on building energy efficiency and circular economy issues.

Megha led the development of the national energy-efficient Building Materials Directory of India (BMDI) for the Bureau of Energy Efficiency, Ministry of Power, Government of India, and GIZ. She served as an Associate Fellow and Area Convener at the Sustainable Habitat Program, TERI, India. To expand the lab infrastructure for testing thermal properties of building materials in India, Megha led the establishment of the Mahindra-TERI Centre of Excellence for Sustainable Habitat, a NABL (National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories) accredited laboratory. Funded by UNEP, she developed the Sustainability Assessment Tool (SAT) for evaluating the performance of building materials and systems for social housing in India. She has authored multiple research papers, articles, book chapters, and reports.

Megha assisted GIZ-India (a German development agency commissioned by German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development) to develop and detail the programme design for joint implementation of the policies of the Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs, Government of India.

Megha holds a master's degree in Energy & Environment from The Glasgow School of Art, University of Glasgow and a bachelor’s degree in architecture.
