Digital Media and Communications Intern

As a Digital Media and Communications Intern for the Smart Surfaces Coalition, Ivy’s work involves creating and writing content to strengthen the Coalition’s online presence and messaging. Her work also includes crafting compelling narratives around Smart Surface technologies and new reports. Ivy is especially interested in the intersection of climate change with human health, race, agriculture and mental health. 

Ivy received a Bachelor of Arts at Pepperdine University where she majored in Political Science, with a minor in Journalism. It was in a course on climate migration where Ivy realized she wanted to pursue a career that addresses the climate crisis. Her experience most heavily lies in writing and podcasting. While at Pepperdine, Ivy also obtained a Certificate in Conflict Management from the Straus Institute at Pepperdine’s Caruso School of Law.
