Erin Cooke is a nationally recognized sustainability leader - advancing climate solutions at the community and campus scale. As the first-ever Sustainability & Resilience Director at San Francisco International Airport (SFO), she leads the strategy and execution of the airport’s Strategic, Zero Waste, Zero Net Energy, and Climate Action Plans—embedding high-impact decarbonization investments into a $12 billion capital program that has reduced greenhouse gas emissions 43%, delivered SFO’s first zero net energy building, eliminated plastic food ware and water bottles, and positioned the airport as a global leader in Sustainable Aviation Fuel deployment. Erin serves on the Board of Directors for the Institute for Sustainable Infrastructure and LightHawk, and on the ACI World Environment Standing Committee. Previously, as the first Sustainability Manager and later Deputy City Manager for the City of Cupertino, she launched Silicon Valley Clean Energy, a pioneering community choice energy program. Her earlier climate work spans the Conservation Law Foundation, NASA Goddard Institute for Space Studies, and the National Park Service. She is a LEED AP, ENV SP, and proud mama of Isa and Graham.
