Policy Intern

Elle is a Policy Intern for the Smart Surfaces Coalition, where she collaborates with a diverse team of experts to support the Cities for Smart Surfaces program. Her work involves conducting research on Smart Surface policy interventions, developing educational resources, and contributing to the creation of a searchable Smart Surfaces Policy Tracker.

Before joining the Smart Surfaces Coalition, Elle earned her B.S. in Environmental Systems Engineering from Stanford University, with a concentration in freshwater systems. She has conducted in-depth research on groundwater recharge in California’s Modesto Subbasin and has hands-on experience as a surface water engineer. Elle’s passion for sustainable development and leadership in environmental initiatives drives her dedication to advancing energy-efficient, climate-resilient infrastructure.
