Colin is an Analyst for the Smart Surfaces Coalition, where he supports the Coalition’s strategic initiatives and climate impact reporting by quantifying the health and CO2 emissions impacts of Smart Surface interventions. He works to translate the Coalition’s data into media stories and campaigns for internal and external audiences.
Colin earned his B.S.P.H. in Environmental Health Sciences with highest honors from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he was a Morehead-Cain Scholar. His honors research focused on air quality modeling in Houston, TX, and he has additional research experience in urban public health and data science.
Before joining SSC, Colin worked as a Research Assistant with the Data-Driven EnviroLab, where he built a comprehensive database of U.S. data centers and supported AI and climate policy research. As an Air Quality Intern with Ramboll, he supported emissions reporting for petrochemical and real estate clients in California. At SSC, he is excited to bridge the gap between research and impact to create a more resilient and sustainable built environment.
