Caroline Zepecki
Research Analyst Intern
As a research analyst for SSC, Caroline will be exploring how increasing the albedo of pavements by applying reflective coatings or utilizing more reflective concrete constituents influences energy costs, livability, and public health.
Caroline is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Marine Biology at the University of California, Los Angeles. During her time at UCLA, she has worked with the UCLA LEED Lab to LEED certify on-campus buildings, where she built her knowledge base in the co-benefits of implementing various Smart Surfaces. She also has experience working with Blue Planet Systems to analyze solar reflectance properties of calcium carbonate-based products to maximize the albedo of concrete.
Caroline is excited to contribute to Smart Surfaces Coalitions research in the area of solar reflectance and build her knowledge of the benefits and economics of green technology implementation.
