Project Coordinator

Anne is a project coordinator for the Smart Surfaces Coalition where she supports the Coalition’s work to help communities increase climate resilience, decrease heat and flood risk, and improve well-being and equity through the adoption of Smart Surfaces. Anne has a background in climate change adaptation and resilience, GIS, and urban planning and has worked for and alongside local governments throughout her career. 

Prior to joining the Smart Surfaces Coalition, Anne worked as a resilience program associate for ICLEI USA, helping local governments across the United States understand and plan for the effects of climate change. She has also completed internships with nonprofit organizations like the Metropolitan Planning Council and the Great Lakes and St. Lawrence Cities Initiative and with local governments like the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning, the Southeastern Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission, and the Planning and Parks Department of Ozaukee County, WI. 

Anne holds a B.A. in Geography with specializations in environmental geography and GIS from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, as well as a Masters in Urban Planning and Policy from the University of Illinois Chicago.
