Environmental Engineering Analyst

Yulun is an analyst at the Smart Surfaces Coalition where he works on water-related topics including the impacts of pervious surfaces on urban stormwater management. His current work is focused on improving the current cost/benefit analytic tool to include more factors, such as the flood damage avoided by adopting smart surfaces. He also uses Geographic Information Systems and remote sensing to analyze the relationship between the urban heat island effect and human health.

As a Master's student in Environmental Engineering at Stanford University, Yulun’s studies focus on hydrology and water resources. He also works as an operator at Codiga Resource Recovery Center, a facility supporting research studies about wastewater treatment and resource recovery. Yulun holds a Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Hong Kong.
