Mark Chambers currently serves as the Director of the Earth Alliance, a non-profit dedicated to working at the intersection of climate and creativity to inspire action while collaborating with diverse networks of people and organizations to accelerate solutions to the climate crisis.

Previously Mark worked as the Senior Director for Building Emissions at the Council on Environmental Quality and the Director of Sustainability for New York City, where he was also a founding member of the Smart Surfaces Coalition Steering Committee.

An urbanist and licensed architect, Chambers has dedicated his career to working on high performance design, zero waste policy and City scale building energy efficiency, with a focus on equitable economic growth, public engagement and promoting transparency through data and innovation.

Chambers holds a bachelors degree in Architecture as well as a masters degree in Public Policy and Management with a concentration in urban and regional economic development from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA. He and his wife live in Washington Heights with their two children.
