Former Director, Sustainability and Innovation, Center for City Solutions, National League of Cities
Lena Geraghty served as the Director of Sustainability & Innovation for the Center for City Solutions at the National League of Cities. Cities are on the front lines of climate change, and she leads the organization’s sustainability work with local leaders throughout the US, providing resources, technical assistance, and policy guidance to the several thousand US cities and towns that are members of NLC.
Prior to joining the NLC, Lena held several positions in governance, innovation, and policy implementation at the Center for Governmental Excellence at Johns Hopkins University and the City of Portland, Maine. Lena holds a master’s degree in Public Administration from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
